Slavery in the Town of York - Hilary Dawson Throughout
the American Revolution, Loyalists packed up their families and
possessions and moved behind British lines. Many counted black slaves
amongst their personal property.Hilary will use information found in
original documents to tell the story of people of colour who were
regarded as property by such York notables as William Jarvis and Peter
Russell.
